‘Coral Boy’ cured of unusual skin condition – before and after pics

Lin Tianzhuan has been dubbed Coral Boy since the age of 13, when large shell-like growths began covering his arms and legs .
As the bizarre skin condition worsened, the 38-year-old was prevented from leaving the house because he could no longer bend his limbs.

But following a year of specialist treatment and surgery, Lin’s skin is finally free of ‘coral’. See the amazing transformation in the pictures above.

Aside from a few discoloured patches of skin, Lin is now hoping to make a full recovery and get his life in Shuimen, southern China, back on track.

His experience is similar to that of Indonesian Dede Koswara, who was nicknamed Tree Man when his skin developed the texture of bark. However, after Dede underwent sugery for his condition, the tree-like growths returned.
