The fact that localized acts of violence springs up with depressingly regularity around the world has one silver lining: it offers repeated changes to test Ushaidi, the distributed reporting software platform that volunteer developers came together to build during post-election violence in Kenya. Ushaidi, Swahili for “witness,” has been launched to track violence against non-South Africa
36 Intuit will acquire the free online personal finance service Mint, we’ve confirmed from a source close to the deal, for around $170 million. Silicon Alley Insider first reported a rumor on this.
